For the 2017 launch of Bed Head’s latest beach-themed product range, they wanted to create a splash amongst their consumers with a social activation that would encourage participation, and keep their products and ‘Keep Beachin’ messaging at the forefront.

Keeping the brand’s youthful and spirited audience in mind, we wanted to produce something dynamic and colourful, but something that would also be highly shareable and great fun to use.

Capitalising on the increasing popularity of moving imagery and GIF animations on social media, we created an Interactive GIF Maker site where users could create their own shareable content, but also get the full lowdown on Bed Head’s ‘Totally Beachin’ product range.

Upon visiting the site, users are invited to either take a series of photos of themselves with their camera or upload images from their library – they can then decorate their images using a range of fun, brightly coloured beach themed filters featuring the #KEEPBEACHIN hashtag.  Once happy with their artwork, the GIF Maker then saves and stitches the images together to create the ‘moving’ animation – and from there they can upload their creations straight to social media.

To run alongside the Summer campaign and help direct traffic to the GIF Maker, we also produced a series of tropically themed OLA banners promoting the ‘Keep Beachin’ messaging and product range.
